Daniel is a Commodity Strategist for TD Securities in the Rates, FX, and Commodities Strategy group, based in Toronto. He provides research and market analysis of precious metals, base metals, and energy markets, used in producing trading strategies that are disseminated to the institutional, commercial and retail trading desks in Toronto, New York, London and Singapore, along with the wider external TD Securities client base.
Prior to joining TD Securities, Daniel was an analyst in systematic absolute return strategies for a Montreal-based hedge fund, after having worked as a stock-index and rates trader. During that time he conceptualized and developed trading strategies in energy markets, rates, and stock-indices. Further, Daniel gained a broad range of experiences in alternative investments at large Canadian investment managers, most notably in private debt and real estate investments.
Daniel holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Toronto/Rotman School of Management, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
